~ A Note from Camarin Madigan, Board President of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services ~
I am delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew Hulse as the new Executive Director of Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS). Matthew officially started September 1st and is excited to be joining the work of our committed staff, board & volunteer leaders, and strategic partners to deliver critical legal services to older adults across our county.
A committed and experienced Nonprofit leader, Matthew has 20+ years of experience leading innovative nonprofits primarily in the education reform space. He possesses strength in fundraising, strategy, team development and growth. Matt is excited to help CCSLS use data to drive change and measure positive impact.
As founding Executive Director of the Northern California College Promise Coalition and Aspire Education Project, he forged new partnerships with diverse nonprofit organizations, built a solid leadership structure, raised significant funding, and created a lasting enterprise.
Matt has a well-established track record of cultivating and working in coalitions with grassroots and community-based organizations. He has raised funds from individuals as well as foundations. Both through his work and volunteer service, he has extensive experience working with vulnerable populations and people experiencing homelessness.
We are mindful of the challenges ahead. Homelessness poses a growing problem across the county, and we can do more to make sure our vital services are available to all seniors, wherever they live.
